How I work
Human first, system second
I start with the person doing the job, not the interface. Research, empathy mapping, and journey work come before any screen.
Ambiguity is the job
Most of my best work started with a brief that was wrong, incomplete, or missing entirely. I'm comfortable building structure from chaos — running workshops, asking uncomfortable questions, and defining the problem before anyone picks up a tool.
Disagreement is a design skill
I push back on stakeholder assumptions when the data says otherwise — but I do it by building shared understanding, not winning arguments. The goal is always alignment, not compliance. A design that nobody believes in will never ship the way it was intended.
Design that scales
I build design systems and reusable patterns so products grow without breaking. Every decision considers the edge case and the next release.
The handoff is part of the design
A Figma file is not a finished product. I stay close through development — writing annotations, aligning with engineers, and making calls on the fly. And when it ships, I want to know what changed: did task completion improve, did errors drop, did users stop asking for help? Launch is the start of the next brief, not the end of the current one.
AI as a design partner
I actively use Generative AI tools — Claude, Gemini, Cursor AI, Lovable, Figma Make — to prototype faster, test bolder ideas, and reduce design debt.
